Criminal gangs successfully launched two migrant boats from French beaches today despite poor weather conditions and increased beach patrols. GB News can confirm that 145 individuals made the crossing into UK waters before being intercepted. Border Force officers transported the arrivals directly to the migrant processing facility located at Dover harbour for initial assessment.
Both migrant dinghies managed to depart from coastal areas situated between Dunkirk and Calais during the morning operations. This departure occurred despite an additional two hundred extra French police officers being drafted in to secure the coastline. The enhanced security measures form part of a recent tactical uplift heavily funded by British taxpayers
French authorities have faced mounting pressure to stem the flow of small boats leaving their northern shores for British waters. The deployment of extra personnel was intended to clamp down on launch sites utilized by organized trafficking networks operating along the Channel coastline.
